Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines Marvic Mario Victor F. Leonen was the guest speaker during the Recognition Program of the UP School of Economics graduating students of 2015.

Justice Leonen graduated magna cum laude (AB Economics) from UPSE in 1983.

For this year’s graduating batch,  13 obtained degrees in MA Economics; Master in Development Economics – 10; BS Business Economics – 75; and BS Economics – 81.

Samantha Marie C. Sundiam, BS Economics, summa cum laude, led the 2015 graduating batch with a weighted average grade (WAG) of 1.18. The 2015 batch also includes 93 students who graduated with Latin honors (2 summa cum laude, 14 magna cum laude, and 77 cum laude).

Meanwhile, UPSE Dean Orville Jose C. Solon in his welcome remarks challenged the new graduates to honor their parents and pay forward.
