“Macro Outlook: Global, Australia, New Zealand, and the Philippines”.

 
Abstract:“[Mr. Conti] will be speaking on S&P Global Ratings’ macroeconomic outlook for the Asia-Pacific region as a whole, before focusing specifically on Australia and New Zealand. The resilience of regional growth so far this year in the face of multiple shocks stems in large part from the global technology boom. However, Australia and New Zealand’s relationships to this boom have been different from the rest of the region’s, and from each other. We will explore what this differentiation means for their economic outlooks and policy challenges in the near future.”

This lecture will be delivered by Vincent Conti, MSc, Global Head of Macro Modelling & an Asia-Pacific Economist at S&P Global Ratings, and David G. Fernandez, PhD, Senior Fellow of the Center for Financial and Monetary Economics, and Visiting Professor at the Philippine Center for Economic Development.
