CFME is the flagship of UP School of Economics’ (UPSE’s) financial economics program. The program and its center aim to spur vital research and produce graduates equipped to study or help manage the country’s financial markets, ensuring that these contribute beneficially to society. Its vision is to become an internationally recognized research hub that fosters collaboration between the academe, government, and private sector. One of its major projects is the CFME Talks.
CFME Talks is a lecture series organized by UPSE and the Philippine Center for Economic Development (PCED), in partnership with CFME. The virtual talks slated for the first half of 2026 feature leading experts who will foster discourse on three crucial and pressing areas: Global and Local Macroeconomic Outlook, Financial Literacy, and Sustainable Finance.
