ABSTRACT

Sustainable Development Indices accounting for Philippine natural resources and ecosystem services at the national and site levels are presented as information support for national economic and environmental decision-making. At the national level, the Adjusted Net Savings or Genuine Savings is discussed. At the site level, economic valuation estimates of High Conservation Value Areas (HCVA) are presented to address gaps in the country’s efforts within the UN System of Environmental-Economic Accounting (UN SEEA) through the recently approved PENCAS Act of 2024.
